The Bhawanipatna Central Cooperative Bank Ltd., Bhawanipatna came into existence in 31.10.1949, being registered under the Orissa Cooperative Societies Act-1962 (Orissa Act 2 of 1963) with its registered office at Bhawanipatna. The registration No. assigned to the Bank is Regd.No.229/B dt.31.10.1949. The area of operation of the Bhawanipatna Central Cooperative Bank extend to the undivided Kalahandi District i.e. Kalahandi and Nuapada District. The Bhawanipatna Central Cooperative Bank has 17 Nos of Branches and 103 nos. of affiliated Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS) and Large Sized Adivasi Multipurpose Cooperative societies (LAMPCS) covering Kalahandi and Nuapada District.
